Get to Know Dr. B.

My name is Dr. Brandi Treadway.  Clients usually call me Dr. B or Dr. Brandi.  I'm a native of Ripley, TN, and I absolutely love my work as a therapist.  Helping clients reach their personal goals, heal from past traumas, and love themselves is rewarding.

I earned my doctorate in Human Services, specializing in family studies and intervention strategies, from Walden University in 2023. I also earned my Master of Philosophy in Human and Social Services from Walden University in 2019. I graduated from Trevecca Nazarene University with a Master of Marriage and Family Therapy in 2011. I also graduated from Middle Tennessee State University in 2008 and earned a Bachelor of Science in General Science and a Bachelor of Science in Psychology.

I am a certified Prepare and Enrich Facilitator, a program that helps couples at different phases of their lives improve and enhance their relationships and marriages.  I am also a level one certified ecotherapist.

In my free time, I enjoy traveling, blogging, creating content, trying new food, and channeling my creativity through art, fashion, and music.  I also spend a lot of time with my three fur babies.

My approach to therapy.

I approach therapy from an affirming, client-centered perspective. This means I focus your therapy care plan on your needs and concerns.  As a marriage and family therapist, I am trained from a systems perspective.  As a systems therapist, I support you by assessing how your system, such as your family, relationships, culture, spirituality, and other factors, impact your life.  During our first couple of sessions, we will set specific goals to help you on your journey to healing and growth. Therapy occurs in the therapy room and between sessions.  So, a part of your therapeutic journey will include implementing new strategies and exercises to reach your goals.  I am here to support, accountability, gently challenge, and provide a safe space for you to grow and heal.
